| Gyrocopter crashes at Valparaiso |
The wreckage of a small helicopter that crashed at the Porter County Airport in Valparaiso will be taken to a hanger where it will be inspected by the Federal Aviation Administration.
The pilot and passenger of the tiny two-seat helicopter were able to walk away from the crash that occurred Sunday while they were landing the gyrocopter.
Police say the pilot refused treatment but the passenger was taken to a hospital with back pain.
Witnesses say the pilot was attempting to land about 17:00 when the aircraft was caught by a gust of wind, flipped over and landed in a grassy area.
