| Air Taxi crashes in to speedboat |
An Air Taxi sea plane has crashed in to a speedboat after landing in a Maldives Bathala Resort of North Ari atoll causing damage to one of the airplane’s floats.
According to Bathala Resort there were some 14 tourists and 3 crew members onboard when the accident occurred on Monday afternoon. The resort said despite damage to one of the airplane’s floats there were no casualties.
Bathala Resort had informed that despite severe weather conditions and rough seas, the speedboat did not sink and that the extent of the damage to the airplane or the speed boat is not know as yet.
According to unofficial information the accident happened during the landing stage of the airplane.
