NewsLover writes "
Luxair has for the coming 10 years contracted all of its engine maintenance for its Boeing 737-700 fleet to KLM Engineering & Maintenance. The exclusive deal comprises planned and unplanned maintenance on Luxair’s CFM56-7B20 engines. It also enables Luxair to request KLM Engineering & Maintenance to make reserve engines available.
Luxair has chosen KLM Engineering & Maintenance based on recent positive experience made, particularly with transport capabilities, exchange of technical and operational experience and assistance with AOG engine changes.
“Naturally, KLM Engineering & Maintenance presented us with an attractive offer, however we particularly place much trust in the technical expertise and capabilities which KLM Engineering & Maintenance offers us,” said Marc Galowich, Vice President Technical Service at Luxair. “Indeed, also in urgent situations, people at KLM Engineering & Maintenance proved to help us quickly and accurately.”
Luxair is the national airline of the Grand Duchy of Luxemburg. The current fleet consists of five Boeing 737 and ten EMB135/145 aircraft. Luxair connects Luxemburg to major European cities and flies to holiday destinations such as Gran Canaria, Monastir and Sharm el Sheik.
KLM is a member of the Air France-KLM group, the world’s largest air carrier group as measured by operating results. KLM Engineering & Maintenance performs aircraft maintenance for more than 100 airline companies.
