| India-Israel corporation in making unmanned helicopter |
Israel Radio broadcasts reported that Israel and India are considering the possibility of working together to develop an unmanned fighter helicopter.
Former Navy Commander David Ben Ba'ashat visited New Delhi this week and discussed the initiative with his Indian counterparts.
India has purchased defense equipment worth well over $5 billion from Israel during 2002-2007, ranging from hand-held thermal imagers and 'Barak' anti-missile defense systems, Aerostat and Green Pine radars to Heron and Searcher-II UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles).
In 2006 alone, India bought military hardware and software worth $1.5 billion from Israel, making it Tel Aviv's largest defense customer.
