Russia and Ukraine to Build International Airport

A new joint project by Russia and Ukraine - to build an international airport at the border of the two countries.

The airport will be located between the Ukrainian city Kharkov and Russian Belgorod.

A 2-hectare piece of land has already been purchased and there are plans to expand the airport’s total area in the future using the near-border territory of the Kharkov Region.

The project has been estimated at US$1.2 billion.
