| Piper Aircraft releases quarterly sales report |
A national report that tracks aircraft sales information at Piper Aircraft Inc. was released Thursday.
A report from the General Aviation Manufacturers Association showed Piper sales reached $46 million in the 3rd quarter ending Sept. 30, down from the $46.4 recorded during the previous quarter but up from the $32.5 in the first quarter of 2007.
The company sold 62 aircraft during the most recent 3 month period, however, up slightly from the 61 aircraft during the second quarter of 2007.
As of Thursday, total aircraft sales for the year to date generated $125 million from 166 airplanes.
