| Man Tried to Hijack Plane? |
On Wednesday evening an Asian-looking passenger who was flying on a plane Kaliningrad-Moscow attempted to hijack the aircraft and put up a fight with the passengers aboard. The plane belonged to the air carrier Aeroflot.
According to the witnesses, the passenger started behaving inadequately at the airport. “The Asian-looking passenger was terribly drunk; he was rowing and acting up, throwing his documents around and in addition shouting that he was a Russian citizen”, as one of the women flying on the plane Kaliningrad-Moscow said. However, the airports` guards, who were called to settle the situation, allowed the debaucher aboard.
The drunken man was given a separate seat in the planes tail section, but shortly after taking off he started kicking up a row again and disturbed other passengers. “Then he stood up and said he was hijacking the plane. The stewards could not cope with the situation, moreover – the Asian passenger started behaving more aggressively and threatened to kill all of us”, one of the passengers said.
Several passengers in turns tried to calm-down the man, but it resulted in a fight. Finally a passenger wearing a military uniform managed to settle the debaucher down by twisting his arms and locking him in the toilet.
After the plane had successfully landed in Moscow, the drunken man was detained by the officers of the airport local department of internal affairs.
