Idaho North - VTP Photorealistic Scenery
ComPilots writes "
Idaho North photorealistic scenery offers photorealistic scenery coverage for the Idaho Northern Counties. Designed with Vtp Photorealistic Scenery techniques with Scenery Builder by Luis Sa it offers a different approach to flight simulation. This kind of photorealistic scenery is specifically and well adapted for Pilots who really like to explore areas - bush flights pilots - and it is highly recommended to all those who like to fly VFR - following maps. This kind of photorealistic scenery is specifically very good for low flight altitude VFR - as it offers complete transparency to Vector data based scenery - as for example the FSFreeware United States Roads and Railways scenery (a Freeware Package) - and our USA Waters scenery package. United States Vectors based Scenery Roads and Waters as described above must be Installed in order to use Idaho North Photorealistic Scenery.

VTP photorealistic scenery offers also the advantage to load into the simulator in less than 1 Minute - as this kind of scenery only load the textures immediate to your aircraft position - - approximately an area of 50 x 50 KM sq / in high raised Terrains - and even bigger areas in lower raised terrains as for example Plains. It also offers the Advantage to enjoy Fully Night Lighted Scenery without the use of Night Light extra bitmaps - cutting the size of the scenery considerably and enable designers to use the hard drive space to produce day textures.

Vtp photorealistic scenery also offers the opportunity to design Vast Areas in photorealistic scenery - - due its fast method of loading textures. This kind of scenery is the only technique available to design much wider areas of photorealistic scenery. Much wider than we had seen up to these days, avoiding the long waits of traditionally designed SDK photorealistic scenery, which will inevitably mark a limit to SDK base photorealistic scenery coverages. Vtp photorealistic scenery only have one disadvantage: especially in high raised terrains - where the simulator is a bit slow to match tiles into each other - producing some lines between tiles.

Nevertheless we have taken every precaution possible and available to reduce this effect which is not visible as soon you approach the area as the simulator will finally match the tiles into each other. This only affects high raised terrains and is not affecting flat terrains.

If you like to fly VFR with a Map right next to you over the Idaho Terrains - this scenery will put you right there, over a 4 m / pix photorealistic coverage, over realistic scenery as the real world looks like!
